Daniel Keyes

Chief Operating Officer (COO)
Responsibilities include: product management, operations, community
Location: Toronto, Canada

Prior to founding the first EOS community in Toronto and co-founding EOS Nation, Daniel spent a decade in the financial technology industry working several diverse roles. His extensive experience in customer service, sales, sales coaching, agent training, digital marketing, digital process management (lean green belt), and product management (certified scrum master, certified product owner) eventually lead him to consulting for a blockchain dev shop.

Daniel earned a Bachelor of Journalism from Ryerson University in 2009 and worked as a chase producer intern at Global TV.

Daniel lives by the principles of Truth, Love, and Freedom.

Denis Carriere

Chief Technology Officer (CTO)
Full-time responsibilities include: block producer infrastructure, enterprise architect
Location: Ottawa, Canada

As a full-stack web & GIS developer and a strong advocate for open source software & open data, Denis is our Chief Technology Officer and is responsible for our node infrastructure.

Before focusing all his efforts on EOS and EOS Nation, Denis was one of the core developers for TurfJS (Advanced geospatial analysis for browsers and Node.js) and a developer for SharedStreets.io (A shared language for the world’s streets). Denis is living and breathing open source with over 4,800+ GitHub commits this year alone. He is also the event organizer for OpenStreetMap and travels internationally/locally attending technology conferences.

Denis also served with the Canadian Armed Forces as a Geospatial Engineer and deployed overseas for two operational missions, one of which was providing humanitarian relief efforts during the 2015 Nepal earthquake.

Matthew Darwin

Chief Infrastructure Officer (CIO)
Responsibilities include: maintaining, testing and optimizing node infrastructure
Location: Ottawa, Canada

For more than 20 years Matthew Darwin has worked in both large and small technology companies (Loran International Technologies, Peregrine Systems, Hewlett-Packard, Hewlett Packard Enterprise).  His roles varied from Linux system administrator, dev-ops engineer, full-stack software development engineer, project manager and team manager up to the level of R&D Director. He has managed projects, both small and large teams (of up to 100 software engineers) including multi-geography teams located in Asia, Europe and North America.

Prior to joining EOS Nation, the projects Matthew worked on focused primarily on IT Service Management, IT Asset Management and Network Discovery/Management. He introduced Agile software development methodologies to teams needing improved process. Matthew spent most of his time on customer-focused engineering: understanding customers’ requirements and then delivering improvements and features to existing products. His passion is business process excellence: removing work by automating manual tasks and modernizing delivery process.

In his free time, he volunteers on various Canadian civic technology projects.

Matthew graduated from Carleton University in 2000 with a degree in Computer Science and am ITIL Foundation certified on IT Service Management.

Vincent Grenier, P.Eng

Chief Financial Officer (CFO)
Responsibilities include: Legal, Financial, French Community Engagement
Location: Sherbrooke, Canada

Passionate about business finance, management and systems, Vincent Grenier worked as a structural engineer where he helped build the accounting and management software.  His interest in investing eventually led him to Bitcoin and then EOSIO.  Combining his enthusiasm with his desire to educate the public about the vast potential of EOSIO, Vincent was a staple of the early online EOS communities. Before the idea of EOS Nation was even born, Vincent was already building and educating EOS communities online and organising local meetups.  While Vincent manages important legal and financial aspects of EOS Nation, he is also still leading various education initiatives.  He is currently working online with other Block Producers to build a cohesive EOSIO educational platform while at the same time continuing to generate educational content for the French community.  He has hosted over 10 meetups across Quebec, France and Switzerland, done multiple interviews with various French communities and created tutorial videos on our EOS Nation FR YouTube page.

Stéphane Bisson

Chief Community Officer (CCO)
Responsibilities Include: EOS Nation Ambassador program, Community Engagement
Location: Montreal, Canada

In early 2017, after a deep dive into cryptoassets, Stéphane became an evangelist for Bitcoin, blockchain and decentralization. Through his constant efforts, he was able to grab people’s attention and educate them through casual conversations about these new concepts. Driven by his beliefs in the potential of decentralization, Stéphane was able to get many people interested in this new emerging asset class.  Some of these people, like Denis Carrière and Yves La Rose, eventually left their old industries to join the blockchain revolution.  Stéphane is honored to be able to continue his blockchain education efforts by working with a worldwide team of passionate EOSIO advocates through the EOS Nation Ambassador program.

David Requenez

Chief Product Officer (CPO)
Responsibilities include: multimedia design, social media management
Location: McAllen, TX, USA

David has a background in business, education, and for the past several years, blockchain.  David worked in education for 8 years until recently going full time into EOS and EOS Nation.  David has worked on several business start-ups in his career, from business consulting to education.  Inspired by great people and always looking towards the future, David became fully captivated by Dan Larimer’s vision of what EOS could become.

David has always been interested in economics, following notable economists like Marc Faber, Peter Schiff and Milton Friedman.  Having lived through the internet bubble of 2001 and the housing crash and financial crisis of 2008, David hopes that the transparency that comes with blockchain could bolster free-market economies and reduce market manipulation.

Yves La Rose

Chief Executive Officer (CEO)
Responsibilities include: governance, strategy, communications
Location: Ottawa, Canada

Yves began his journey into computers at a very young age, building his first computer at 6 years old and programming his first game at the age of 7. Yves has always had a deep ideological relationship with computers and their role in decentralization. Yves began his university studies in software engineering, but quickly realized the human aspect was where his heart resided. After completing studies in psychology and pure sciences, Yves bridged the gap by focusing on perceptual and computational neuropsychology.

After starting to mine Bitcoin in 2010, Yves eventually realized that Proof of Work would not be able to provide him with the decentralization dream he was so fond of. Yves used his bitcoins to buy various computer parts and forgot about Bitcoin for a few years until he co-founded a crypto education group in 2016. In his professional life, Yves worked for the Canadian Federal Government as an economist and a policy advisor, and then worked in communications for an elected National political representative in Canada. Yves left National politics to pursue his passion of decentralization, cryptoassets and EOS – founding EOS Nation in February 2018. Yves is fluent in Japanese, having spent the early part of his formative adult years living in Japan.
